2026 First Quarter Newsletter and New Members Spotlight:
January:
January 14th: The first General membership Meeting was held on January 14th at Duck Woods. New officers and Board of Directors were installed.

The Parade of Homes (POH) & Trade Expo Committee met January 13th.
The Board of Directors (BOD) met January 27th.
February:
The NCHBA 1st Quarter meetings scheduled for February 3rd were cancelled due to winter weather. However, several meetings were done via Zoom.
The POH & Trade Expo Committee met February 10th.
The Legislative Committee met February 12th.
IBS was held in Orlando February 17th-19th.
The BOD met February 24th.
The first Happy Hour was held February 20th and hosted by FullTilt Blinds & Shutters.
March:
First Flight High School Job Fair was held on March 4th.
First Flight High School Tech School & Trade Expo was held on March 10th.
Thanks to a wonderful sponsor, the Family Fun Bowling night was held at the OBX Bowling Center on March 13th! The kids love it!
The 2026 Trade Expo was held at Jolly Rodgers on March 14th from 10am-2pm. Thank you to all who came and all who participated.
The NCHBA Region 2 meeting was held on March 23rd at Bluewater Grill & Raw Bar. The OBX was very well represented as well as HB members from the Inner Banks HBA and the HBA of Northeastern NC. Jake Overton is the Region 2 Vice-President.
On March 26th the 2nd General Membership meeting was held at Jolly Rogers, James "Jimbo" Ward was our guest speaker, and spoke on the start of the Outer Banks HBA in 1979. Mr. Jimbo was the Outer Banks HBA President 1979-1980.
Frank Wiesner with the NC Dept. of Labor visited the OBHBA office on March 31st to explain what the Consultative Services program with the Department has to offer.
The POH/Trade Expo Committee met March 10th.
