You might not think twice about the trees around your septic system… until you see this. 🌳
These roots were found inside septic drain field piping during a recent inspection. What started as a request to see if the lines could be hydro jetted turned into a much bigger discovery: the piping leading into the distribution box was completely blocked with roots.
Some of the roots were pulled out during the inspection, but the extent of the intrusion meant the piping and distribution box would need to be replaced rather than simply cleared.
If you have trees growing near your septic system, it’s worth remembering that their roots can travel much farther than you might expect.
