Corrosion on a refrigerator drip tray is usually a sign of prolonged moisture exposure. In some cases, it’s normal condensation, but similar conditions can also develop anywhere in the home where small leaks, fittings, valves, or drain connections allow water to sit over time.
The concern isn’t the corrosion itself, it’s the ongoing moisture source. Whether it’s an appliance connection, under a sink, or a plumbing fitting, slow leaks and drainage issues can go unnoticed and gradually worsen if not addressed early.
Have you seen something like this before? If so, where was it? 💧🔧
