This is ridiculous! This happened last year, or year before or both...but it was just one. This time, my customer's exceedingly gracious neighbor decided to throw EIGHT dead chickens that I imagine their dog killed, directly over the fence into their neighbor's backyard.

Unless someone is into some weird witchcraft, there is no other explanation.

Friendly Public Service Announcement #852

For any current, or potentially future "urban homesteaders" with chickens/hens/whatever.... No matter how difficult the relationship may be with your neighbor, there is no world where it is okay to toss your dead chickens over your fence into your neighbor's yard.

The poor schmuck that mows that neighbor's lawn for them doesn't appreciate the surprise when that rotting carcass explodes at 500+ mph when the deck blades hit it. And then they don't appreciate having to interrupt their day to wash that mess from under the mower deck!
