Kerrville Recreation Pond Update #1:
We just finished our second day. But, this was our first one with the excavator and rock breaker. There are still a lot of rocks hidden under there I'm sure. But, it's starting to take shape a little. We're installing a drain under the pond liner that uses hydrostatic pressure to drain away any rain water runoff that may get under the pond. As summer comes to a close... Make sure you aerate your pond!

Oxygen keeps your pond healthy. Fish need more oxygen in warmer water temperatures. If they don’t have to fight for it they are less stressed and less susceptible to diseases. Aeration also reduces the growth of string algae in your pond. Plus, having your aerator in place will prevent your pond from entirely freezing over during those extreme cold spells in the months ahead.
