A mini-split is quiet, mounted out of the way, and heats AND cools all year for a fraction of the electricity. One outdoor unit can run multiple rooms. "But do they actually heat in a Hudson Valley winter?" — the question we get most. Short answer: yes. The cold-climate units we install are independently rated (NEEP) to deliver full heating output well below zero — the 18k unit we install most is rated at 23,600 BTU of heat. Our customers run them as their only heat source through January. The tech changed; the reputation just hasn't caught up yet. 🥶🔥
