For all of our fellow Houstonians, if you have a backflow preventer that has popped its top from the freeze beware of completely replacing it, there are repair kits that can be purchased at a much lower price. This repair kit can be installed yourself and save a lot of much needed money.

Not all press fittings are the same, bottom 2.5 fitting was installed and cut out from two leaks, top fitting is from a tried-and-true manufacture. Go for quality and it will be cheaper in the long run. Ps: running water so we couldn't solder it.
