Cleaning day for next year's batch of horns.

Starting the cleaning and sanding process on raw horns for next year. This gives me the canvas to start laying out designs based on the shape, color and thickness of the horns. It also allows me to find flawed horns early.
I spend the winter months figuring out what the pieces want to become.

Thank you for all your interest in the horns I have produced this year. Most of my horns go directly to my dealer Du Puy Creations, so you can find more information there if they are still available and the prices.

My horn carving only happens from April to October due to the necesity that it is done outside because of the messiness. For many years I produced 50-70 horns per year and sold them prodominately at the SCA Pennsic war. However since I no longer sell at the event personally, I have cut back to less than 40-50 per year and am only carving themes that interest me. So I send any custom work to my apprentice, Valdis, at Nordik Kraft, as he is very capable of doing that work.

In the future I will start posting more here as the horns are starting to be produced, along with some projected finish dates, pictures and prices. When they are done people will be able to contact me for about a week to purchase them. After that you will have to contact Du Puy Creations since whatever doesn't sell goes with them on their RenFaire and Reeanctor circuit through the rest of the year.
