I don’t talk about it much, and I’m writing this for myself, not because I care what others will think when reading it, but living without my mother is my literal worst nightmare. Literally, when I was a kid I would have literal NIGHTMARES of my mom dying, it was the worst thing but with the sudden jerk of waking up, I would tell myself it was just a dream, that she’s just in the other room. That’s not the case now. I can’t even put into words the pain, I try my best to not think about it and push it aside because who wants to cry, crying sucks, but days like today just fill my head with memories. Today she would have been 48 years old. 3 years too long and counting of a gaping void left in my life. Nowadays I’ll be hyper conscious of others of the way they treat their parents, I’ll tell people that you don’t know if they will be here tomorrow, that they shouldn’t talk to their parents in that way, or treat them coldly when they are just trying to look out. Happy birthday mom I wish you were here to see all of my accomplishments and to see I married that girl you hoped so much would be my wife on day because of how happy she made me. I know if you were here you would be asking me to make you and build you a million things for your little hobbies and I would happily do so. Anyway I try to tell myself I can’t change the past, and that it is what it is and it kinda helps me keep my mind off of it, but what can you do 🤷‍♂️ happy birthday
