Important Customer Notice: Temporary Fuel Surcharge if gas prices remain above $4.00 a gallon
This is one post we never wanted to make—and honestly, never thought we would need to make.
Due to regular gasoline prices rising above $4.00 per gallon and diesel prices reaching over $6.00 per gallon, we are facing a significant increase in the cost of operating our business. Since we rely on both gasoline and diesel to provide our services, these increases directly affect our operating costs.
Beginning September 28, 2026, we will be temporarily adding a $5.00 fuel surcharge per cut to help offset these increased expenses.
We want to emphasize that this is intended to be temporary. As soon as the regular gasoline price returns to $3.95 per gallon or below for five consecutive days, we will completely remove the fuel surcharge.
We spent considerable time researching our options and running the numbers. We believe this approach allows us to continue keeping our regular service prices as affordable as possible for our customers while helping us offset the additional cost of fuel.
Unlike some businesses that add a fuel surcharge without a clearly defined end point, we are setting a specific threshold for when ours will be removed. The moment fuel prices meet that threshold for five consecutive days, we will remove the surcharge.
To put the current fuel costs into perspective, tonight we filled our truck and two 5-gallon gas cans. 17 gallons of gasoline cost us $69.00. At our current usage, that amount provides only a little more than 1–2 days of fuel.
Fortunately, we already have approximately one week's worth of fuel on hand that we purchased specifically to help us through situations like this. That supply has allowed us to hold off on implementing a fuel surcharge until now. Once that supply is depleted, however, we will have to begin purchasing fuel at the current higher prices.
For example, if gasoline reaches $4.50 per gallon, the same 17 gallons we purchased tonight would cost approximately $76.50.
We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support. We don't take your business for granted, and our goal is to navigate these increased costs while keeping our regular prices as reasonable as possible.
Thank you for supporting our small business. ❤️
