🌩️ Following yesterday's state-wide storms, we think it's time to talk about downed power lines again. Knowing what to do could save your life.

⚠️ If a power line falls on your vehicle, DO NOT get out unless there is an immediate danger like fire. The ground around the vehicle may be energized, putting you at risk for severe shock or electrocution.

Here’s what to do:

1️⃣ Stay inside & stay calm – Do not touch metal parts of the vehicle.
2️⃣ Call 911 immediately – Report the emergency.
3️⃣ Warn others – Keep everyone at least 30 feet away from the vehicle and power lines.
4️⃣ Only exit if absolutely necessary – If you must leave due to fire, jump clear with both feet together and shuffle away with small steps while keeping your feet close together.
5️⃣ Wait for help – Emergency crews will make the scene safe.
