82 squares of new 60 mil Johns Manville TPO, fully adhered, on a commercial building in Fountain City.

The roof was a layover — 1” ISO insulation board installed over the existing surface, then the TPO membrane adhered on top. No tear-off. Adds insulation value, extends the life of the building envelope, and keeps the job cost down.

60 mil is premium spec. Fully adhered means no fasteners penetrating the membrane. This system is built for decades.

Can you put a new TPO roof over an old metal roof? In Oak Ridge, we just did. 235 squares of it.

This commercial building had corrugated metal panels. A full tear-off means exposing the building, hauling away old metal, and interrupting the work happening inside. A retrofit builds on what is already solid.

Flute fill insulation levels the ridges in the metal panels. A mechanically fastened cover board creates a flat, stable base. Then a RhinoBond induction welded TPO membrane bonds to plates from above, so not one screw punctures the finished roof. New gutters and downspouts close it out.

Those gold plates are weld points. Swipe to see the system come together.
