A few things we see folks get wrong when clearing and grading land:

✅ DO: Remove stumps and root balls completely out of the ground.
❌ DON'T: Leave roots hidden under fill. They'll rot at different rates, sink over time, and crack foundations or buckle hardscaping you've already paid for.

✅ DO: Test drainage paths after earth has been moved and compacted.
❌ DON'T: Assume water will follow the same route it did before the soil was touched and reworked.

✅ DO: Cut back heavy brush and vegetation before running equipment across the site.
❌ DON'T: Blade through thick growth and trap organic material underneath. It locks in air pockets, stops soil from compacting right, and leaves you with a weak base that sinks or shifts.
