Wrapped up installing a 240V 50A power inlet for a backup generator, giving this homeowner a reliable and cost-effective way to power their home during an outage. 🔋 The customer chose a 7,500-watt tri-fuel generator, which can keep nearly the entire house running—except for high-demand appliances like the electric oven and basement heat pump. They had a gas stove as well for cooking.

To ensure everything runs smoothly, we performed a load calculation to determine the essential circuits during an outage. ✅ The power inlet was installed 60 feet from the main service panel in a convenient spot for easy generator setup. Most importantly, we installed a safety interlock on the main panel, which prevents backfeeding—keeping utility workers and your home safe. 🏡⚠️
