Our Flagging team deserves a shout-out for their incredible work the past few weeks. Their hard work and near misses should not go unnoticed!

Photos 1 & 2: Trey S. & Wendy H. – They almost got hit by a drunk driver while patrolling an active work zone. Called into the Traffic Control Coordinator and alerted the crew to let them know there was an incoming hazard and alerted the entire crew of the potentially fatal incident. The driver was arrested.

Photo 3: Zachary B.– Saw an elderly woman fall in a nearby church parking lot and hit her head. He called an ambulance and stayed with her until it arrived. She returned to the work zone to thank him and let him know she was okay.

Our team celebrated the successful conclusion of our 2026 summer internship program at Top Golf after a group lunch yesterday. Our intern, James E., has made a big impact at Harrison this summer! Our internship program is all about making each day count as we show interns every aspect of how Harrison keeps infrastructure projects moving forward in our community.

We held a cookout at our Cinder Lane shop as recognition for the safe work that has gone into our Asheville Highway project. 🎉

Construction on highways comes with many safety concerns; it's difficult but necessary work. We are thankful for these employees who do incredible work while keeping themselves and their coworkers safe. We couldn't ask for better people on the job!

Our team is hard at work this week pouring for a new construction in Knoxville. If Harrison pours it, you know it will be a strong foundation for years to come 💪

In June, Harrison poured on four different occasions for a project at Neyland stadium installing slabs on metal decks, totaling 50 cy. Even though the pours are small in size, the impact is enormous. It is awesome to be a part of making Neyland stadium bigger and better for fans! GO VOLS!!

We have a Safety Committee Member Recognition Award to celebrate! Wade E. recognized Dennis S. for going above and beyond to help ensure safety in a confined area filled with plumbing, catch basins, traffic, and other obstacles. Dennis made certain they remained visible to the driver at all times and provided proper guidance to help navigate the hazards of the job.
