A little shade goes a long way!!! We didnt want to tie into the roof because that would have included all new gutters and either a new metal roof or a new shingle roof in order to get a good seal and to prevent leaks. So we slapped up a free standing covered porch that went 2 foot over the roof. See the thing is is these old trailors that are metal roof have nothing to tie into other than using 68 tubes of silicone so thats exactly why we did it like this plus it saved alot of money to have a shaded back porch. 💪
