I was asked by a insurance adjuster where in the code book does it cover k**b and tube wiring. So decided i better look it up again. Article 394 concealed k**b and tube wiring.

394.12 uses not permitted. Concealed k**b-and-tube wiring shall NOT be used in the following.
(5) hollow spaces of walls, ceilings, and attics where such spaces are insulated by loose, rolled, or foam-in-place insulating material that envelopes the conductors

Apprentice of the day.
Mowgli was all about business today getting a rewire completed.
Told him to go get the drill but he was ready to cut out the plaster in the walls.
Pack it up mowgli time to move on to the next one.

Story time

Customer- Um yeah i need you to come check out my meterbase it’s needs a bit of attention

Amps- okay I’m bit booked out at the moment but are finishing some big jobs in the next Wk or so. How bad is it? Are you ok to hold off just a bit or is this a emergency?

Customer- i think we can hold off.

Amps- can you send me some pictures so i can see what we are working with?

Customer-sure I’ll send them right now.

Amps- thanks I’ll be in touch

we resume working

Phone rings

customer- ummm yeah it’s me again did you get my pictures.

Amps- no…. Oh wait they just came in……..oooh yeah we need to get that taken care of.

Customer- yeah utility company is cutting power until it’s taken care of

Amps- let me clean up here we will head your way

We don’t want to see anyone get shocked this call came in around 430. By the time we got there and fixed the issue it was dark so no after pics got taken. (We are ready for spring the warm weather and longer daylight working days)

Facebook says I’m not posting enough.
I say ok ok I’ll post today.
One of todays calls fire started from a bathroom exhaust fan. Utility company disconnected power to home until circuit was isolated.
Power is back on now and circuit has been isolated.
I know many are on the list but these calls become priority. Right or wrong it’s to cold to go without power right now.
