☃️THURSDAY MORNING UPDATE - Not much doubt about it at this point...most of us are going to get A LOT of snow this weekend!

Forecast model data overnight continues to be very consistent in showing one of the biggest snowstorms in several years for our area. Here is a first look at my totals forecast for today. I will tell you that my totals are conservative compared to some of the raw model data.

Models show a zone of very heavy snow setting up somewhere across the middle of our area, that could easily produce at least 8-12" of snow. Locally higher totals over 12" are certainly possible.

The biggest area of uncertainty is near the KY/TN state line and south. We may see at least a period of time when snow changes to sleet...which would cut way down on snow depth totals.

Regardless of exactly how much snow falls, the impacts will be significant and widespread across the area. Plan for travel impacts to begin soon after sunrise Saturday morning, and conditions to deteriorate through the day Saturday. By Saturday night and Sunday, travel will be very difficult.
