If you have old galvanized water pipes this is what happens. This customer complained of no hot water in the shower. When I disassembled the shower valve I discovered that rust particles from inside the pipe flowed to the shower valve and completely plugged up the hot water line. If you have old galvanized pipes it’s time to re-pipe. Old pipes cause damage to fixtures in your home. If you look at this picture you’ll notice the circle on the left has a big rust partical in the center of it.
