Plant it and they will come🦋
This beauty stopped by our milkweed patch today, proof that the right plants bring the right visitors. Monarchs need milkweed to survive, and it's one of the easiest ways to make a real difference for pollinators right in your own yard.
We want to see who's visiting YOUR garden! Drop your pollinator photos in the comments! What's been showing up this season?

A meaningful milestone has been completed in the Ho-Chunk garden at Riverside Park today!

We’re so happy to share that the installation of the bronze statue of Betsy Thunder, a revered Ho-Chunk healer whose legacy continues to inspire strength, care, and connection to the land, was completed today. Seeing her presence become part of this space is a powerful reminder of the history and living culture we aim to honor.

Betsy Thunder, a respected medicine woman of the Ho-Chunk Nation, was known not only for her deep knowledge of traditional healing practices, but for her compassion across cultures. She offered care to anyone in need, even when language barriers existed. Her healing work, often using natural remedies and spiritual practices, earned her widespread respect and gratitude throughout the region.
We’re grateful to be part of a project that centers on heritage, healing, and community. Stay with us as we continue bringing this vision to life.

A special thanks to all involved in making this happen, including Mike Martino Studios, Debra Fabian, Makepeace Engineering, City of La Crosse, Borton Construction, Riverside International Friendship Gardens, River Architects and the Ho-Chunk Nation!

Spring is officially putting on a show!
While we were out on site this week, we spotted one of our favorites, a beautiful spring ephemeral in full bloom. These early wildflowers don’t stick around long… they take advantage of the sunlight before the trees leaf out, bloom quickly, and then disappear until next year!

It’s a small reminder to slow down and appreciate what’s right in front of you, because some of the best things in nature are here for just a moment!

Can anyone name this beauty?

Have you noticed any early blooms popping up yet? Let's see your plant pics!!!

We’re excited to kick off our 2026 season!
As we gear up for a busy year ahead, our team has been hard at work preparing and growing together. We’ve spent time on in-house trainings focused on safely operating machines, equipment, tools, and staying safe in every aspect of the job.
We also had the opportunity to participate in some incredible trainings with Stop the Bleed and Diggers Hotline. The information shared was truly eye-opening and could make a life-saving difference in critical moments.
Investing in this kind of knowledge not only strengthens us as a company, but also empowers each of us as individuals. We’re proud to continue learning, improving, and putting safety first every step of the way.

Here’s to a strong, safe, and successful 2026 season!
