What does it take to make a complex machine feel intuitive?

It's not just great engineering. Every stage of development needs to work together.

Combining design, tooling, molding, testing, and manufacturing under one roof, we can precision-engineer custom components and help bring products to market faster.

See how this approach helped a leading agricultural OEM develop a next-gen armrest console that looks premium, lasts longer, and feels like a natural extension of the operator:

"It's IP67 rated, so it's medical-grade." Not the same thing.

Defined under IEC 60529, IP67 confirms two environmental-protection attributes: complete protection against dust ingress and resistance to temporary water immersion up to 1 meter for 30 minutes.

IEC 60601 is a broader medical electrical equipment standards framework addressing basic safety and essential performance, including areas such as electrical hazards, mechanical safety, EMC, labeling, usability expectations, and risk-management integration.

An IP rating is one validated data point. IEC60601 is the governing compliance framework.

Before positioning a component as suitable for a medical application, confirm the full standard, regulatory pathway, and performance requirements the OEM is required to meet.

In tactical environments, one accidental press can compromise secure communications.

GRAYHILL helps prevent that risk at the component level. For a secure personal radio application, our 26 Mechanical Encoder uses isolated switch positions to help protect against accidental Zeroize activation.

Paired with a low-profile sealed keypad rated for 33 feet of immersion per MIL-STD-810, the design supports reliable control in wet, rugged, and unpredictable conditions.

Small in size. Built for mission-critical performance.

Meet the Series 67C Precision Joystick: a compact, multi-function control solution engineered to consolidate joystick, pushbutton, and optical encoder capabilities into one shaft. It delivers directional control, click actuation, and precision adjustment without the complexity of stacking multiple components.

Designed for system flexibility, the Series 67C offers configurable cable lengths, termination styles, and encoder resolutions—helping engineers meet application requirements without custom part numbers or added tooling costs.

Inside, it communicates with smooth analog output for joystick movement and precise digital pulses for rotational input, all with low-power operation that supports OEM integration.

One part. Endless configurations. Built to move with you.

10x. That's how much GRAYHILL's production output has grown since integrating robotic automation into our manufacturing operations.

But output is only part of the story.

Our laser soldering robots bring micron-level precision to intricate soldering tasks — and our Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) robot follows with a five-camera inspection system that catches what human inspection can't.

What makes these systems work isn't just the technology. It's that our team designs and builds the custom fixtures and moldings in-house, so the robots adapt to our products — not the other way around.

People. Performance. Progress.
