It might be winter but your pond still needs your attention! A few tips:

• Make sure your pond doesn’t completely freeze over! There needs to be a small hole so gases can continue to be exchanged. A heater/deicer will help with this or you can manually make a small hole
• Adding an aerator to help add extra oxygen to the water will help keep your fish healthy

Make sure to check your pond at least weekly in the winter if you have a heater/deicer or an aerator so you can catch any malfunctions early!

A complete transformation. What started as an old existing 6x4’ preformed pond gone bad we turned into a new ecosystem pond 8x12’ wide with 24”of depth. The new pond included one large fish cave, a spillway bowl, 4ft waterfall, 4 underwater LED lights and a variety of aquatic plants. The homeowners love their new pond and can’t wait to stock it with new koi!!

A small koi pond & waterfall can make such a difference in your outdoor space. The gentle sounds of splashing water crashing through rocks into a pond can really take you away from all the noise of the outside world.
