Four minutes of prep makes Halloween night go smoother. 🎃

🔒 **Latch the gate.** Open gates and excited, costumed kids are a bad combination, and it's the #1 way pets get out on Halloween.
🐕 **Bring anxious pets in before dusk.** A doorbell ringing 60 times is a lot to ask of a dog.
🕸️ **Keep decorations clear of gate swings.** Cobwebs and hinges do not get along.
🔦 **Light the walkway.** Especially where the path meets the gate.

More pets go missing on Halloween than almost any other night of the year; a latched gate genuinely prevents it.

The pool's closed for the year. That's exactly why now is the time to deal with the fence around it.

Pool enclosures are one of the few fencing projects with real legal requirements like height, gaps, self-closing and self-latching gates, and latch height. Rules vary by municipality, and many older enclosures wouldn't pass today's inspection.

Getting it handled in the off-season means no disruption to your summer and no scramble in May.

Our crew just built a fence nobody’s paying for. 🔨

It’s at our own HQ. New materials, new hardware, new methods get tried here first, on our property, before they ever reach a customer’s yard.

Our crews get to learn on unfamiliar products with no clock running. And we live with the same fence we sell, so if something doesn’t survive a Nebraska winter, we find out in our own parking lot.

Continuing education shouldn’t be a line in a handbook. Here it’s a fence line you can walk.

Not all of our work happens in backyards.

Job sites, storage yards, utilities, warehouses, schools, parking areas. Commercial fencing has a different job description. It protects equipment, controls who gets in, and keeps people where they should be.

It's National Get to Know Your Customers Day, something we like to do daily.

So: why did you put up your fence?

For us, the answer is almost never "a fence." It's a rescue dog who kept getting out. A toddler who learned to run. A pool that needed to meet code. A neighbor situation nobody wants to talk about at the block party. Somebody who just wanted to drink coffee outside without an audience.

Five minutes on your gate this month will save you a frustrating January.

✔️ Tighten loose hinges and screws
✔️ Oil the latch before it freezes shut
✔️ Clear leaves and dirt out of the swing path
✔️ Check posts for wobble after all the wet weather

Gates take more abuse than any other part of a fence; they're the only part with moving pieces, and they get used every single day.

If yours is already sagging or dragging, that's usually a post issue rather than a gate issue, and it's a straightforward fix. Call us before the ground freezes.
