Detailed prep. Btw this FloorSmart tape is over 20$ a roll. It typically costs me 300-500$ in paper, plastic, and tape to prep a cage for paint. Not to mention tarps and drop clothes.

This driveway originally had a decorative coating on it. Unfortunately, another company applied a brand-new decorative design and color directly over the existing coating instead of removing the old material first.

When it comes to decorative concrete, a new coating should never be applied over a failing or existing coating without proper surface preparation. If the original coating isn’t completely removed, the new one won’t bond properly. In this case, the new coating started to fail almost immediately. It’s a lot easier to remove one coating than it is two.

This picture is not the finished product btw. I still spent half a day longer hand grinding to get it down to bare concrete.

Small job Saturdays. I quoted her a price, she got my soft spot and asked if I could do it a little cheaper. So I did to help a sweet lady. I also did a few odds and ends for her while I was there. By the end she was so happy she ended up giving me the full amount I originally quoted her. She also had a couple really bad experiences with other contractors at her house for different issues. I’m glad I was able to finally give her a service she was completely happy with. She told me she was going to call the person who gave her my number and thank him because she was so happy. 🙏🙏 jobs like this keep me going through the hard times. 239-990-7345.
