I built this custom center console for Big Red's . It fits over the battery in his cab. Made from 3/4" Baltic Birch plywood with Oak dowels, it has a clear 1/2" acrylic top, and clear storage tray under the armrest, so that the battery and fuse blocks are still visible.
The undersides are lit with 2 RGB LED strips for illumination. I programmed an Arduino module so that he can fade from 4 different brightness levels (or off) with a single push-button, and they also remember last setting, via ignition. It has a phone tray with dual USB QC outlets and a digital volt meter. A 4-pin threaded mic connector for all of its electricals allows it to be easily removed and reinstalled, when necessary.

Just finished this big build for my boy Big Red's sport. It was a lot of work, and a whole lot of 1/0 wire and wood, but well worth it!

These are 2 woofers on 2 mono block amps, plus an rp 150.4 on the highs. The box and amp rack are both made out of Baltic Birch plywood (4 sheets in total) and the vent is unobstructed, right at ear-level.
The amp rack is mounted via rubber isolation dampeners to the driver's side of the box, which has extra bracing in place to ensure minimal vibration transfer to the amp rack. The box is bolted through the cab via big grade 10.9 bolts, to steel plates underneath the cab on each corner, keeping everything safely in place and extremely stiff.

Any tweaks to the amps can be made painlessly, as all of the adjustment controls are at chest level and accessable simply by opening the rear door.
All of the electrical is running on a big battery, with some beautiful aluminum buss bars and terminals from .
The tuning on this box is a low 28.7Hz and it loves decaf tracks!

Next build for this truck will be the center console, coming soon.
