Check out the Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center Physical Therapy facility in Lafayette’s Oil Center!

This 24,982 SF, two-phase renovation transforms an existing building into an integrated healthcare and education environment, bringing outpatient rehabilitation services and the LSU Health Shreveport Physical Therapy Department together under one roof.

The project includes a new therapy gym, exam rooms, simulation lab, teaching labs, faculty offices, and collaborative student spaces designed to support both patient care and hands-on learning.

By combining education and clinical care in a single purpose-built facility, the project expands access to rehabilitation services while helping strengthen the future pipeline of physical therapists in Acadiana.

Last night AQ Studios was honored to accept a 2026 Award for Excellence in Historic Preservation from the Louisiana Landmarks Society for our work on TheJacksonNOLA Apartments alongside the project's developer, Kailas Companies, LLC, and our partner Carubba Engineering, Inc.

This project reflects our passion for adaptive reuse and our commitment to preserving the historic character and cultural fabric of New Orleans while creating spaces that serve the city for generations to come.

Framed by the university’s iconic live oaks, the project brings together dining, flexible event areas, and student-focused spaces into a welcoming hub for the entire campus community.

Today we were honored to attend the groundbreaking ceremony for Maurice City Hall. Designed as more than just a municipal building, the new City Hall will serve as a civic anchor for the growing Town of Maurice — creating a welcoming place for community engagement, local government, and future development for years to come.

The 5,100 SF facility will include a state-of-the-art council chamber, administrative offices, and constituent service kiosks. It will be the anchor point in a larger master plan that will further civic developments in future phases.

We are grateful to the Town of Maurice for trusting AQ Studios for this important investment in the future of the town. We look forward to seeing this vision come to life!

Over the last couple of days Kaitlin Dooley, Kerry Frey, and Khoa Le have been representing AQ's Community Studio at the Big Towns summit in Lafayette. The event brought together local community groups, city officials, and representatives from mid-sized communities across the Gulf South to share what actually works. It was great having conversations about real-world ideas that strengthen economies and neighborhoods while building civic trust.

We're excited about the opening of the Intensive Outpatient Program at St. Charles Parish Hospital! This projects involves the development of a dedicated, patient-centered space designed to support structured mental health and substance abuse treatment while allowing patients to maintain their daily routines. The facility focuses on creating a safe, therapeutic environment with group therapy rooms, private counseling areas, and staff support spaces that promote healing, privacy, and operational efficiency. Emphasis is placed on calming interior design, code-compliant life safety features, and flexibility to accommodate a range of outpatient services.
