The sub zero refrigerator evaporator coils sit in the back of the freezer compartment of a refrigerator and look like a radiator. The back wall of the freezer is actually the cover of the evaporator coil and can easily be opened with a screwdriver. Leaks in the evaporator coils are primarily caused by a chemical reaction between the copper they're made from, high humidity and volatile organic compounds (VOCs). Together, they combine to create formic acid that corrodes the copper. VOCs are gases that many common household products emit. For@more questions call subzero repair Costa Mesa OC 800-428-2199
