Founded by Leroy Herchenbach in 1959, our company has been built on hard work, fairness, and a reputation for doing the job right. Leroy’s sons Jack, Rick, and Mike grew up in the yard, learned the trade from the ground up, and carried on the family business for decades, earning the respect of clients and colleagues alike. Kevin Kerbs—Leroy’s great-nephew—brings years of experience in construction

, excavation, grading, and sewer installation, along with a vision for growing the business into the future. Office operations are managed by Hayleigh Herchenbach, Jack’s daughter, continuing the family tradition. From residential site prep to large-scale commercial projects, we remain the same small, dependable crew our community has trusted for over 60 years—ready to move the earth for you.

Excavating a 1.5-acre pond for a customer’s private fly fishing retreat. Today it’s tractors and dirt; soon, it will be water, wildlife, and peaceful casts.
