HD Truck & Tractor, LLC is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. Looking for individuals who are able to work at sites ranging between Cameron, LA and Vinton, LA. Job Summary: Reporting to the Superintendent, the Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of multiple pieces of construction equipment. Must be proficient in the use of a diverse range of construction equipment, including, Excavators, Loaders, Dozers, Rollers, Motor Graders, Skid Steers and others.
Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Daily maintenance check of fluids, lubricants, wear parts, tires, glass and general condition of assigned machinery using the Daily Equipment Checklist forms and report issues immediately.
• Use various pieces of equipment to perform fine grading and finishing, sloping and banking, backfilling, ditching, loading, excavating and stockpiling.
• Safely and productively operate equipment on public roadways while maintaining proper awareness of surroundings and adapting to changing environment including traffic, soil conditions and weather.
• Utilize GPS systems, read and understand grade stakes for grade control and finishing.
• Monitor operations to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment or vehicles, workers on the ground and falling objects.
• Manage materials efficiently whether excavating, loading haul trucks, placing materials, fine grading or installing drainage structures.
• Promote a teach approach and maintain dialogue with all employees to ensure a safe worksite.
• Perform other related work as necessary.

HD Truck & Tractor, LLC is seeking a Construction Carpenter to join our growing team. Looking for individuals who are able to work at sites ranging between Cameron, LA and Sulphur, LA. Requires 7+ years experience with building and pouring various size catch basins, safety ends, and other concrete structures. Competitive pay and health insurance (BCBS) benefits.

Job Summary: Reporting to the Foreman, the Construction Carpenter is responsible for designing, constructing, erecting, installing and repairing structures and other items of wood, plywood with the use of pneumatic and electric power tools. Must have knowledge of advanced layout, material takeoff from drawings and safety requirements for each project.

Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Read and interpret blueprints/sketches and complete daily reports.
• Build and set forms, use level instrument, tie rebar, finish carpentry work, read tape/ruler, set screeds, and install batter boards.
• Frequent use of hand tools such as power tools, circular saws, hammers, nails, and bolts.
• Inspect areas and verify correct elevations.
• Communicate with Foreman to ensure understanding and maintain safe working conditions.
• Perform other related work as necessary.
