Tracy is so much more than a part of HillCo. She's the wife, mom, ZZ, beekeeper, pet mom, garden grower, animal wrangler, interior designer, idea-maker, behind-the-scenes problem solver, and so much more.

This kitchen had good bones. It just needed the HillCo touch!

By removing a small wall and transforming the two-level peninsula into a spacious one-level island, we completely changed the feel of this home.

The homeowners wanted a kitchen that felt warm, natural, and inviting. A place where family could gather, conversations could happen, and memories could be made.

Our client, Mr. Jim, from the Poplar Ridge project brought in the most incredible surprise: a handmade replica of his home, built entirely out of foam board. He crafted it himself, and it is spot on. How cool is that?!

Bill and Tracy actually did his floors 12 years ago. He called us back in July about refinishing them… and just one week later, he called again to say the job had to be canceled because his home had caught fire. Thankfully, everyone was safe. ❤️

Since then, we’ve been walking alongside him as he decides what comes next. This 1970s contemporary home is something he and his wife absolutely love and treasure, and we’re honored to help them rebuild it better than ever.

And now? We’re redesigning it from the outside in: brick vs. batten, open concept vs. adding square footage… the possibilities are endless.

But the real question is… HillCo Nation, should we contract Mr. Jim to make mini replicas of ALL our major projects?! Because this one has us obsessed. 🤩🏡✨

Bill isn't a sit-behind-the-desk kind of boss.

He's always willing to roll up his sleeves, get his hands dirty, and jump in wherever he's needed. Whether it's solving a problem on the jobsite, helping a crew member, or tackling a challenge head-on, no task is beneath him.

Running a construction company is a lot like herding chickens. There are countless moving parts, constant coordination, long days, and plenty of unexpected twists. Sometimes the physical work is the easy part. It's managing schedules, people, materials, weather, and client expectations all at once that takes the most effort.

Today, we were blessed with a special visitor at HillCo Farms: a Monarch butterfly.

It's been a very long time since we've seen one in our garden, and seeing its bright wings dancing among the flowers brought a smile to our faces. In a world that often moves too fast, moments like these remind us to pause and appreciate the beauty God has created.

We pray the Monarch population continues to recover so future generations can experience the same wonder.

Two of our little grandz have officially given this room their stamp of approval! ✅

We're designing this guest bedroom so the children can sleep up top while Mom and Dad rest comfortably below. Safety rails will be installed, and plenty of memories will be made.

While homeowners see a beautiful finished home, we're busy juggling permits, schedules, design selections, material deliveries, subcontractors, inspections, budgets, change orders, and about a hundred other details.

And just when we think we've got everything perfectly balanced...

It's a sticky situation... literally! 😉

The flooring installation is officially underway!

We experienced a small delay while making some necessary CPVC plumbing repairs, but we're back at it and moving forward. Every project has its own unique set of circumstances, and this one is no exception.

For this floor, we chose a glue-down product along with a specialty adhesive that contains built-in moisture protection. It's one more way we're investing in the long-term durability of this home.

Progress is happening and we can't wait to share more!
