Another awesome project we did in lake george!
Instslled 2 dry laid stone retaining walls along existing steps. The steps were part of an 1800s resort house on lake george, the customer was having some excavation work done creating more lawn area, and uncovered these steps. The customer wanted to incorporate the steps into the landscape to preserve the history of the property, super cool!
We installed metal edging and mulch around some existing plants to help enhance those flower beds.
We also installed new plants and mulch near the stair case to the house to spruce up the main entry.
We also installed 2 fast growing spruce trees for a privacy barrier, the trees planted will grow about 2' in height per year, and up to 4' in diameter.
Also along the private road we installed ninebarks shrubs and some river bed stone in those beds.

This customer had a tornado come through his property. 2 massive oak trees in the front yard were broken off at the stumps causing damage to his home and property. After the tree crews removed the trees and stumps, and the home was repaired, it was time to repair the yard. We cleaned up the ground stumps. where 1 stump was, we added soil and sod to expand the lawn. The second stump was on an elevated flower bed. We saved what plants we could and relocated to other areas in the existing flower beds, then added this beautiful raised flower bed with belgard retsining wall block and cap, we also added a dappled willow shrub, and left plenty of room to plant annual flowers to add more color. We absolutely love the way this came out!

On this project the customer contacted us to reapir his less than 1 year old, brand new construction home paver sidewalk...

On this project the customer contacted us to reapir his less than 1 year old, brand new construction home paver sidewalk that had sunk near the driveway. The original installer refused to stand behind thier work to repair the sunken pavers. Also the homeowner asked that we install joint material (polymeric sand) that was never installed originally.
We removed the sunken pavers, and stone base, throughly compacted the soil, then reset the the sub base and bedding material, pavers, and dusted the joints. Also we reset the border pavers properly with cement type border edging.

Fun project we did. It started with customers wanting small stone walls built by the end of their driveway to add curb appeal
When the customers saw the stone work they decided they wanted to redo the plant configuration, and completely replant the beds.

Spring Clean ups and dethaching are done! Bring on the mulch!
Look how much dead grass and debris dethacthing pulls out of a lawn. Yes, some thatch is good for the lawn. Thatch provides shade in the heat of the summer and it helps hold moisture into the soil. Although too much thatch can create at matt preventing water and nutrients from penetrating the soil. About 1/2" of thatch is the ideal amount
Though thatching may make your lawn not look the best for a week or so, it will thank you later and bounce back full,lush, and green.

Before and afters of a landscape redo.
We had a blast on this project. The customers wated to simplify thier landscape, and they wanted something unique. We removed the creeping juniper in 1 area and repalced with river cobbles and a stone feature. We also had the small pines that were ruining the lawn removed, we riased the area, added river cobbles, and a beautiful Japanese maple with some boulder accents

Brick sidewalk amd staircase landing build out we did. Customer had some old bricks they wanted to reuse mixed with new brick. The challenge in this project was matching old with new as the sizes of bricks had changed slightly over the years. We made it work and it came out great, and the customer was more than happy!
