To all of my current and future customers,

First and foremost, thank you.

Thank you for trusting Saws & Spurs Co. with your trees, palms, and property. Thank you for the referrals, the recommendations, the kind words, and the opportunity to earn your business.

As many of you know, Saws & Spurs Co. is a one-man operation. When you call, text, schedule work, receive an estimate, see a social media post, or have a tree trimmed, you’re working directly with me. I’m the owner, estimator, climber, groundsman, equipment operator, bookkeeper, and customer service department all rolled into one.

This time of year is incredibly busy, and I’ve been blessed with more work than I could have imagined. Because of that, I know I haven’t always been as quick to respond to messages and phone calls as I’d like to be.

For that, I sincerely apologize.

Please know that if you’ve reached out and haven’t heard back right away, it isn’t because you’re being ignored. More often than not, I’m either in a palm tree, hauling debris, meeting with customers, or trying to keep up with the many hats that come with running a small business.

I appreciate your patience and understanding more than you know.

My goal has always been simple: provide honest service, quality work, and treat every property as if it were my own. Thanks to all of you, I’m able to continue doing what I love every day.

From my family to yours, thank you for supporting a small local business. I look forward to serving both current and future customers for many years to come.

There was a time when all I had was a pickup, a ladder, and a willingness to work.

Today I’m still carrying that same work ethic, just with a few more tools and a lot more experience.

Every palm climbed, every tree trimmed, every trailer loaded, and every late evening after my framing job is another step forward.

Building a business isn’t glamorous. It’s long days, sore muscles, equipment repairs, paperwork, and showing up when you’d rather rest.

But it’s worth it.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Saws & Spurs Co. and trusted me to work on your property. I don’t take it for granted.

Here’s to another season of climbing high and cutting clean.

Palm season is officially here in Lake Havasu 🌴☀️

If your palms are overdue for trimming, dropping seed pods, packed with dead fronds, or just starting to look overgrown — now’s the time to get them cleaned up before the summer heat really kicks in.

These are a few recent jobs completed by Saws & Spurs Co. I take pride in clean cuts, proper shaping, safe climbing practices, and leaving properties looking sharp when the work is done.

What separates my work from a lot of the rushed trimming you see around town?

• Attention to detail
• Proper palm maintenance practices
• Careful cleanup and debris removal
• Respect for your property
• Honest communication and dependable scheduling

Whether it’s tall Washingtonias, date palms, fan palms, queen palms, or general landscape cleanup — I’m here to help keep your property looking its best.

Palm season is here in Lake Havasu City, and the schedule is starting to fill up. 🌴

Here’s a recent date palm cleanup and skinning project I completed. The goal is always the same — clean cuts, proper shaping, attention to detail, and leaving the property looking better than when I arrived.

I take pride in doing the kind of work I’d want done at my own home:
• Palm trimming
• Seed pod removal
• Decorative skinning
• Dead frond cleanup
• General palm maintenance
• Thorough cleanup when the job is done

No rushed hack work. No leaving a mess behind.

If your palms are getting heavy, dropping debris, or just need attention before the summer heat really kicks in, feel free to reach out for a quote.

Grateful for another referral from Fidel Valencia, who let Mary know that while he doesn’t trim tall palms, he knew exactly who to call. Mary reached out, we scheduled her free estimate, and I was able to get her on the books quickly.

I started with the tallest palm in the trio out front and worked my way through the set, trimming them up clean and finishing each one with our complimentary palm skinning. After that, I moved through the yard and took care of the remaining date palms—the pokey ones. Every seed pod was removed, every cut was done with intention.

No shortcuts. No excuses. Just clean work done right the first time.

Fresh trims to end the day.

These palms were overdue for a cleanup — heavy skirts, dead growth, and crowns that needed to breathe again. A few hours later and each one is standing tall, healthy, and looking sharp.

Whether it’s a quick tidy-up or a full seasonal trim, I take pride in leaving every property better than I found it. Clean cuts, safe practices, and respect for the tree’s natural shape — that’s the standard.

If your palms are ready for their yearly maintenance, I’ve got you covered.

Good morning from the river.

Not every day starts in a palm tree — sometimes the “office view” looks like this.

I spent the morning out in Mohave Valley with Oly Homes, rolling floor joists and pushing this second-story deck closer to the finish line. Clean cuts, tight layout, and a solid frame ready for sheathing.

I take pride in palm trimming, but that’s only one side of what I do. From tree work to framing, I put the same craftsmanship, precision, and work ethic into every job.

🌴 Trimming Lake Havasu 🌴

Wrapped up a full day of work with a clean set of palms here in town. These trees hadn’t been trimmed in a while, so I took them back to a healthy crown and cleared all the old, hanging growth. Completed the trim with a complimentary skin to clean up the loose skins at the transition.

A solid reminder of why I love what I do — bringing a property back to life with a clean, safe trim that lets the palms breathe again.

If your trees are ready for their annual trim, I’d be glad to help.

Throwback Thursday 🌴

“Rooted in skill, raised for the climb”

Back in 2016, I was just starting out—climbing tall palms with grit, a ladder, and the determination to learn a trade that demanded everything from me. Every climb was a lesson, every challenge a step closer to the arborist I’ve become today.

But this journey didn’t begin with me. My dad was still climbing palms well into his later years, and what he passed on was more than just the skill of climbing. He showed me endurance, resilience, and the mindset to keep going in a profession that tests your limits.

Today, as I continue building Saws & Spurs, I carry both my own achievements and the legacy of the man who showed me the way.

Because as the saying goes…
“Beware of an old man in a profession where men usually die young.”

Follow along as I keep climbing, keep building, and keep honoring that legacy-one tree at a time.
