Some questions I get asked as a business owner about my arsenal of work vehicles-
International
Q: “Why do you drive such a loud truck?”
A: Because it grabs your attention. Not because it’s loud, but because when you hear it you know someone is in your neighborhood. You’re turning your head to see the company logo of who’s working in your area. It’s the easiest form of marketing for my business.
Dodge
Q: “Why do you keep putting so much money into that truck? It keeps tearing up on you, why don’t you just sell it and get something else more reliable?”
A: Tree work is all about patience, expanding your skills, giving back to the community. Mechanics are the backbone of keeping your business sound, moving smooth, and maintaining discipline. When you show determination in something worth your time, it shows others how you are willing to dedicate your time, skills, and patience in them on the job. You do what it takes to complete the task.
Toyota
Q: “I don’t think that truck can handle much more weight in it, when are you going to break down and get a bigger vehicle to haul all that stuff around in?”
A: When we are fortunate enough to have the resources we are given, make the best of the situation. It’s not all about spending money on something new and flashy, it’s about working with what you have. It teaches adaptability, creativity, and shows that nothing can keep us down.
So if you see me on the road, throw your hand up! Wave! Because if you see any of these vehicles, I’m surely out here working hard to provide for my kids, a loving woman who believes in my dreams, and dedicating my passion to serving the community!
