FIE celebrating our 44th Christmas with a pig roast and pot luck lunch. It was a fun get together. Even had a visit from Santa for all three companies Florida Industrial Electric, All Electric Services, and Alternative Energy Services. We thank our team for a safe and productive year. Florida Industrial Electric is seeking laborers with highway construction experience. Candidates must able to perform physical tasks such as trench digging, unloading and loading material and removing debris and waste. Knowledge of hand and power tools a must.
This is a full time position with flexible hours and may have some travel (in FL only)

Florida Industrial Electric is seeking qualified Electrical/DOT Superintendent.
The Superintendent is responsible for field operations on the project(s) assigned in order to achieve timely and profitable completion of each project.
Duties:
• Direct day-to-day on-site supervision of field labor force;
• Inspection of Contractor or (Sub)Contract operations to ensure compliance with Contract;
• Review and approve items with Project Manager;
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external clients;
• Develop and maintain site logistics plan, in coordination with Project Manager;
• Monitor costs, including labor time and material;
• Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others;
• Manage schedules, including preparation of detailed short-term schedules and ensuring all activities take place on or ahead of scheduled dates;
• Prepare and submit Superintendent’s Daily Reports;
• Attend and participate in project meetings, including subcontractor meetings.
Qualifications:
• Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products;
• Broad understanding of industry;
• Familiarity with requirements of drawings and specifications and with terms and conditions of Project Contracts, Subcontracts and Purchase Orders;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Ability to read drawings and specifications
• Functions effectively as part of a team;
• Delegates work appropriately;
• Strong decision making/problem solving skills;
• Excellent time management and organizational skills;
• 5+ years of industry experience.

FIE had the pleasure of completing a Pilot Program Traffic Signal in Daytona Beach for FDOT. Here is the press release for the new Hybrid Pedestrian Signal. It was great to work with P&S Paving Inc. on our Design Build Joint Venture Contract.

A first of its kind traffic signal is going into service in an effort to improve pedestrian safety ahead of the school year.
