Might be old and a bit rusty, but this old work truck still needs a good wash once in a while. Thankful the car wash is open again here in Lake Nebagamon, and with some upgrades as well! Probably the best working self-serve wash in the area. Clean stalls too!

Progress continues at the cabinet shop renovation!

This week we removed another section of deteriorated exterior siding and uncovered significant rot and structural damage beneath. All compromised materials were removed and replaced with new framing and sheathing to restore the building’s integrity. With the repairs complete, we’re just about ready to begin installing the new siding and window. (Didn’t get a pic of the sheathing replaced.)

It’s always better to address hidden issues the right way rather than cover them up. Looking forward to seeing the finished product come together!

DIAMOND DESIGN KITCHEN & BATH, INC. is getting a face lift. The shop, which was built in the 1940s, was at one point a grocery store that served the Maple area. Now, it's a cabinet shop that has produced custom cabinetry for over two decades. We've partnered with a long-time friend and owner of Trash Panda Services to get the job done. I'm currently undertaking a modest construction project. The building is of relatively new construction. Initially, the basement was unfinished; however, it will be fully transformed upon completion. All drywall installation is complete. Mudding and taping are scheduled to commence tomorrow morning. The finished space will feature a bathroom, bedroom, mechanical room, open living space, luxury vinyl plank flooring, and dropped ceilings throughout. Updates will follow.

Heads up for our customers. Building centers have been raising their prices. This is the 3rd time this year I’ve received emails regarding price increases. If you’ve been thinking about getting a project done this year, you may want to do it sooner than later because I think prices will keep going up. Hopefully not.
