After much thought, consideration, and prayer, we have made the difficult decision that The Ranch and Viola Vines will be closing. While we do not yet have an exact date, we will keep everyone updated, and until then we will continue serving our delicious coffee and homemade pastries.
As we reflect on nearly five years in business, one word stands out above all others: community. We opened The Ranch and Viola Vines not only because we are Lake Wales natives, but because we wanted to create a space where people could gather—a place where walking through the doors felt like coming home and being part of a family.
In 2023, construction began downtown and did not conclude until 2025. To say we are proud to have weathered both Covid and nearly two years of street closures would be an understatement. We took the good with the bad, evaluated what worked and what didn’t, and made decisions based on facts—not feelings or outside opinions—because no one knows their business better than its owners. Even so, we have reached a point of financial and physical exhaustion.
We are deeply grateful for the relationships we’ve built and the moments we’ve shared—celebrating births, weddings, retirements, birthdays, graduations, and more. Your love and support have meant everything to us.

NOTE: If you have a gift card, please come in and use it towards our coffee and pastries. Our product inventory is low as we made this decision prior to going back to market. And remember, we aren’t closing now so you do have time.
