A longtime customer asked us out to his house for a landscape consultation. Ryan noticed the rug at the front door. Turns out he’d had a few made — for himself, for close friends, for family. After hearing what we’re trying to build here, he wanted one to live at the nursery.

There are maybe a handful of these in the world. The kind of thing that made it happen is everywhere in Lake Worth Beach.

The short version: quality and variety don’t happen by accident. Somebody has to know what to look for, what to pass on, and what’s worth chasing when it’s hard to get. That’s the whole job, and it’s why the floor looks the way it does.

This one brought in fiddle leaf figs in standards, columns, and twists. Ficus Audrey. ZZ, Marble Queen pothos, Philodendron Brasil, Calathea peacock and rattlesnake. White bird of paradise, Rhapis and bamboo palms, ponytail palms. Desert rose, starfish cactus, and ground orchids in assorted colors.

Dolly Parton kept pollinators close for fifty years. The butterfly in the Dollywood logo, and milkweed and native nectar sources planted across the park so the real ones — bees, butterflies, hummingbirds — would come.

A good thing to carry forward.

Plant what they're looking for and they find you. Salvia, porterweed, firebush, and pentas keep the bees working all season. Milkweed for the monarchs. Passionvine for gulf fritillaries. Firespike and firebush for hummingbirds. All native, all built for August.

We also carry Florida honey and bee pollen, from bees doing the same work a few miles from here.
