Spent the past week in Pennsylvania building a monster live edge river table for some close friends from a fallen white oak tree. It was a pleasure to work beside such great company in the cool mountain air in an extremely well outfitted shop.

Implementing the Shaper in the workshop has been awesome so far! This table pedestal cut out would have required a lot of effort to locate it in the right position and even more to accurately cut it. Now I can mock the two sections up together and make the cut with no template and extreme accuracy using only a couple of center lines and some shaper tape for reference. Technology is awesome.

Had a blast building this monster of a butcher block. I love having clients like Dennis that trust me with the creative process on custom pieces like this one. This board is 18x24x1.5” and is made of end grain walnut blocks that were book matched to create symmetry in the blocks then quarter turned to create a pattern. The inlays are figured maple to give it a sharp color contrast and more character. The juice groove and handles are done with 1/2” cove. Really enjoyed the challenges this one presented, thanks again for the repeat business Dennis!

Poured this serving tray this morning. Okinawa green pigment mixed in ecopoxy flowcast featuring a book matched chunk of maple burl. It will finish at 1” thick and be 12”x18”. I have enough burl left to build a few more of these and I can get any color pigment. Message me if you are interested!
