Tomato Pruning Made Simple ✂️🍅

1️⃣ Pinch the top if it gets too tall
If your plant keeps stretching upward, pinch the growing tip. This helps the plant focus its energy on producing fruit instead of just more leaves.

2️⃣ Remove the suckers
Those tiny shoots between the main stem and branches steal energy. Gently pinch them off while they’re small to keep the plant productive.

3️⃣ Do light leaf thinning
Removing a few leaves improves airflow and sun exposure. Better circulation means healthier plants and happier tomatoes.

4️⃣ Clear the lower shoots
Take off leaves close to the soil to reduce moisture-related diseases. Tomatoes don’t enjoy muddy splashes.

Relatable mistake 😅 cutting everything at once thinking “more pruning = more tomatoes.” In reality, gentle and gradual trimming works best.

A few simple snips can lead to stronger plants and better harvests. 🌿🍅

Smart Plant Pairings for Bigger Harvests 🍅

Some plants simply grow better together. Choosing the right companions can boost growth, reduce pests, and increase your yield — naturally.

1️⃣ Tomatoes + Basil
Basil supports tomato growth and may help deter certain insects.
Relatable mistake 😅 planting tomatoes alone and wondering why pests show up first.

2️⃣ Carrots + Onions
The strong scent of onions confuses carrot pests, while carrots don’t attract onion enemies. A simple natural defense system.

3️⃣ Strawberries + Garlic
Garlic acts as a natural repellent against some insects and diseases, helping strawberries stay healthier and more productive.

4️⃣ Cucumbers + Dill
Dill attracts beneficial insects that support pollination and natural pest control, giving cucumbers a helpful boost.

Planting with intention saves space, strengthens natural protection, and improves harvests — all without chemicals. 🌱
