Light grading for a few hours this week. We leveled an above ground pool pad in this back yard last Summer…called back this week to work on a few additional sections.

Spent some time shaping the slope in front of this shed. We also ensured water will flow steadily along the entire back yard with a small swale.

We created a level base for the owner to build a gravel parking pad for his boat.

This job is a perfect example of how we can use the equipment to make large improvements in grade in a relatively short amount of time, 3 hours in this case.

We had the opportunity to help improve drainage this week. This property sits below a hill that sheds quite a large amount of water. The existing little trench was easily overwhelmed during rain events.

We used a combination of mini excavator with a tilt bucket, skid steer, and dump trailer to widen this ditch and it is now shedding water properly without flooding the lawn. We will line the ditch with either geotextile fabric and rip rap or a layer of sod to help combat erosion down the road.

This lawn has additional drainage issues that we will address in the upcoming weeks…stay tuned!

We were very grateful for the opportunity to work for this longtime customer who recently purchased their dream property out near Rossville! Talk about efficient, they had us on site and getting to work the same day they closed.

Workshop demo, tree work, stump grinding, digging electrical and water utility lines to the new shop…Gravel parking and driveway repair will come next. What an honor to have the opportunity to be involved in so many of the steps to help make this property fit their needs!

Perhaps the best part was getting to work together with both of our Sons on this one. Fun to watch my 10-year-old act as the foreman, he seems to like giving his older brother advice.

Much thanks to Weston Robins from Robins Electric (901-827-6541) for helping. Alsip Locating Service, LLC was a great help as well, anytime we need utilities marked before digging, we always give them a call!
