Brynli earned her Bachelor of Business Administration from Liberty University in 2020 and began her career in the construction industry the following year. Since then, she’s gained experience across administrative and accounting roles, developing a strong financial foundation that supports every project she’s part of.

In 2026, she joined RJ Nichols Construction, where her love of numbers truly shines. Whether it’s building budgets, forecasting finances, or spending hours in Excel creating reports, Brynli brings precision, organization, and enthusiasm to every task.

Her work ethic and drive were inspired early on by her father, who built a long career in fire safety. Watching his dedication both on the job and at home taught her the value of hard work and service to others.

Brynli also credits her grandmother for shaping who she is today — instilling in her a deep love for animals and modeling a life filled with patience, love, and selflessness. These values continue to guide her both personally and professionally, reminding her that success is as much about helping people and spreading kindness as it is about meeting goals.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Brynli enjoys life outside the office with her husband, three dogs, and two cats. When she’s not working, she loves traveling, camping, painting, crafting, and reading — always finding new ways to recharge and create.

Meet the RJ Nichols Construction Team!

Brendon joined RJ Nichols Construction in 2021 and brings nearly two decades of experience to the team. He began his career in the construction industry back in 2002, drawn to the challenge and creativity of the work. For Brendon, every project represents a chance to combine craftsmanship, critical thinking, and problem solving to bring an owner’s vision to life. He takes pride in seeing ideas transform from concept to tangible reality — a process that never stops inspiring him.

Born and raised in San Diego, California, Brendon has always called the coast home. A true local, he loves everything about the San Diego lifestyle — the ocean, the sunshine, and the community — and you’ll often hear him cheering for his hometown Padres, while still holding loyalty to the Chargers.

Outside of work, Brendon is all about family and the outdoors. He married his wife in 2017, and together they’re raising a son and a daughter. Brendon enjoys spending as much time as possible with them — fishing, mountain biking, golfing, hiking, or camping under the stars. He values sharing these experiences with his kids and teaching them to appreciate nature, adventure, and the joy of getting outside.

When the workday is done and it’s time to relax, Brendon enjoys a good home-cooked meal — the kind that brings everyone to the table — and ice cream is his favorite treat to wrap up the day.

A true animal lover, Brendon jokes that if he had his way, he’d have a whole petting zoo at home. Whether it’s working hard on the job site or spending time with his family and pets, Brendon brings warmth, dedication, and heart to everything he does.

Riley Bettis is a key part of the RJ Nichols Construction crew, bringing skill, reliability, and craftsmanship to every project we take on. From in-house work to the final finishing touches, Riley’s attention to detail helps ensure that every build meets our high standards and finishes strong.

Riley began his construction career in 2018, right after graduating high school, and joined RJ Nichols Construction in 2021. He’s motivated by seeing a project come to life — from the early stages all the way to the perfect finished product. His hands-on approach and pride in his work make him an invaluable member of our team.

Riley grew up in eastern San Diego County and has always enjoyed working with his hands and seeing tangible results from his efforts. Outside of work, he loves to stay active and make the most of his free time. He and his girlfriend share their home with a dog and a cat, and together they love to travel, attend concerts, and make their annual trip to the National Finals Rodeo (NFR) in Las Vegas. When he’s not on the go, you’ll often find him building custom computers or catching a hockey game.

Riley’s commitment, craftsmanship, and energy make him a cornerstone of what we do at RJ Nichols Construction — turning great plans into beautiful, lasting results.

If there’s one word that captures who Jennifer Nichols is, it’s heart. Since joining RJ Nichols Construction in 2019, Jennifer has brought warmth, dedication, and a deep sense of care to everything she does. When the company first opened its doors, she dove straight into the financials—building processes from the ground up, navigating the complexities of a new business, and helping set RJ Nichols Construction on a path to lasting success. Her work ethic is unmatched, and her commitment to the team shows in every detail she touches.

Born and raised in San Diego, Jennifer has always been someone who goes above and beyond for others. In addition to her essential role in the company, she also runs her own medical billing business—proving yet again that she’s always working, always learning, and always giving. Despite her busy schedule, she is the person who makes everyone feel welcomed, supported, and part of the family. Her kindness is genuine, and her ability to care for people comes naturally.

Family has always been the center of Jennifer’s world. She married her husband in 1998, and together they raised three boys whom she absolutely adores. Now that her sons are grown, she happily pours that same love into her two Great Danes—who she treats like her newest “babies.” Jennifer is at her happiest when she’s surrounded by family, especially when there are babies in the mix. Her joy is contagious, and she brings that same energy into every room she walks into.

Outside of work, Jennifer finds peace and purpose in the things she loves most: attending bible study, gardening, crafting, and tackling DIY projects around her home. Whether she’s creating something beautiful or lending a helping hand, she approaches everything with care and dedication.

We are incredibly grateful to have Jennifer as part of the RJ Nichols Construction family. She lifts others up, makes every person feel valued, and pours her whole heart into both her work and her relationships. The company simply wouldn’t be the same without her.

Looking back on one of our proud accomplishments from December 2024 — the completion of Thread & Seed in La Jolla.

This project transformed an old dance studio into a stunning modern boutique, designed to serve as the flagship concept store for future franchise locations. Working closely with the owner, we achieved a tight budget and met an ambitious turnaround time, successfully delivering a space that combines style and functionality.

The boutique features abundant natural light, elegant arched doorways, and a custom-built gift area with inset drywall and millwork for their signature "build-a-box" experience. Additional highlights include a cozy coffee bar and a custom concrete micro-topping entryway with brass inlay, showcasing their signature phrase to create a welcoming atmosphere and an Instagram-worthy photo spot.

This thoughtfully crafted store sets the tone for the brand's expansion and creates a shopping experience that feels both personal and memorable.

Since joining RJ Nichols Construction in 2019, Rashell Tiernay has been an essential part of keeping our projects running smoothly from start to finish. As a Project Coordinator, Rashell manages contracts, change orders, and everything in between — ensuring every detail behind the scenes is handled with care and efficiency.
Rashell first entered the construction industry in 2018 and quickly discovered her passion for organization and process. What motivates her most is knowing that the work she does helps the operations team stay focused on delivering exceptional results for our clients. She takes pride in keeping things organized and efficient so our superintendents can do what they do best — bring projects to life with quality and precision.
Before joining the RJ Nichols Construction team, Rashell worked as an Assistant Escrow Officer and in Medical Billing, experiences that sharpened her eye for detail and strengthened her administrative expertise.
Outside of work, Rashell lives a life full of adventure, love, and connection. She married her husband, Rob, in 2000, and she channels her nurturing spirit into her six nieces and nephews — and now their growing families — whom she adores. When she’s not coordinating projects, you can find her traveling (she’s explored 13 countries so far!), assembling jigsaw puzzles, working in her yard, or spending time with loved ones. And if that wasn’t adventurous enough, Rashell has even ridden her motorcycle through multiple states and into Canada!
Rashell’s dedication, positivity, and steady leadership are just a few of the reasons we’re so proud to have her on the RJ Nichols Construction team.

Meet the RJ Nichols Construction Team!

If you’ve ever been on an RJ Nichols Construction job site, chances are you’ve met Ricky Frady — our dedicated Superintendent who keeps projects running smoothly and on schedule while ensuring every client gets the best results possible.

Ricky began working alongside Richard and Jacob back in 2017, and when RJ Nichols Construction officially launched in 2019, he was right there from day one helping to build the team (and the business) from the ground up.

Before stepping into the construction world in 2005, Ricky spent years as an automotive technician, which might explain his natural eye for detail and his love of all things with an engine. When asked what motivates him at work, Ricky’s answer is simple and straight to the point: “My family and bills.”

Ricky’s dedication shows both on and off the job site. He’s been married since 2013 and has two adult kids — a son and a daughter. He’ll tell you that any day spent with his wife and family is a great one.

When he’s not managing projects, you’ll find Ricky outdoors or behind the wheel, indulging in his favorite hobbies: boating, off-roading, admiring hot rods, shooting, and racing RC cars. If he’s not driving, he’s watching — NHRA, NASCAR, or the Baja 1000/500 are some of his go-to motorsports events.

After a day of living life to the fullest, Ricky likes to wind down with tacos and a cold beer, and maybe even a good chick flick with his wife.

We’re thankful to have Ricky leading the way out in the field—his hard work, humor, and genuine care for people make him an essential part of the RJ Nichols Construction family.

Watch this vacant lot turn into the Carlee McGrath Senior Center!

St. Madeleine Sophie’s Center (SMSC) has long been a cornerstone of our community—educating, empowering, and supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to reach their fullest potential.

This exciting new addition to their campus will support their mission even further, providing a welcoming space specifically for seniors to engage in recreational activities, develop new skills, and connect through programs tailored to their interests.

We are incredibly grateful for the work SMSC does to uplift individuals and families throughout San Diego. Having witnessed firsthand the difference they make, we are honored to be part of their journey.
