The finish line is in sight! 💪🏡🍂

Tomorrow, we wrap up the patio cuts, complete final compaction, and install the polymeric sand!

Friday, it's all about the finishing touches! We'll repair a damaged irrigation line, install low-voltage landscape lighting, plant new landscape stock, spread fresh mulch, and repair turf damage with loam and seed! 🌿💡

All just in time to welcome guests for this weekend's Halloween party! 🎃👻

Coming along very nicely over here in Lakeville, MA on a beautiful fall day!

We have opted for a pattern shift on this project, the linear style is in alignment with the home and overall contempary nature of the design which will lend character to this fiished project.

When combined by the brighter color of Nicolock Paving Stones with Paver-Shield blend offset with a raven blend border brick it will certaintly brighten up this predominatly dark side of the residence!

We are looking forward to completing this project by the end of this week!

Another productive day on-site in Lakeville! 💪🚧

Today, we completed the bedding stone preparation and poured the concrete footing for the reclaimed granite step leading out of the residence! 🏡

Tomorrow is another big day as our paver delivery arrives! We'll be installing the reused granite step, screeding out the remaining bedding stone, and beginning to lay the new patio pavers!

We're excited to see this outdoor space coming together, one carefully planned and executed step at a time!

💪 Making Excellent Progress Despite Challenging Ground Conditions! 🚧

Heavy clay and silt soils are NOT what you want beneath a new paver patio!

When you're building something that's meant to last, what's UNDER the patio is just as important as what you see on top!

After discovering poor, unstable soil conditions, we made the decision to excavate deeper and modify our base installation to ensure a strong, stable, long-lasting foundation.

Here's what went into today's progress:

✅ Extra-Deep Excavation – Removed additional unsuitable material to accommodate an upgraded base.

✅ 1½" Crushed Bluestone – Installed, raked level, and compacted to create a more stable foundation.

✅ Woven Geotextile Fabric – Installed to help separate the underlying soils from our stone base and improve overall stability.

✅ Geogrid Reinforcement – Added in areas with softer, less load-bearing soils to provide additional reinforcement and load distribution.

✅ 12 Yards of ¾" Crushed Stone – Installed in two separate lifts, with each lift compacted TWICE in opposing directions to maximize density and stability!

👏 The result? A properly reinforced, thoroughly compacted base that's ready for the next stage of construction!

Cutting corners beneath a patio might save a little time today, but doing things RIGHT protects your investment for years to come.
