We're on site in Minneapolis today getting started on a unique siding project.

The first step is protection. Because this home has siding that contains a small amount of asbestos, we're taking the proper precautions to safely remove and contain the material while protecting the community, workers, and the property.

As the siding comes off, we're getting a glimpse of the home's original exterior, as it was before it was covered up years ago. Once removal is complete, we'll be installing brand new LP® SmartSide® siding in a beautiful blue color with white trim accents for a completely updated look.

Getting everything prepped for a project in Minneapolis.

This one is a little unique because we'll be replacing asbestos siding, so I'll be documenting as much of the process as I can.

Today we're setting cones, coordinating dumpster delivery, and notifying the neighbors before work begins tomorrow.

Today’s meeting was extremely important.

We’ve both attended a couple of AI training courses recently to better understand how AI can help a family-owned and operated business like ours.

It turns out there are more opportunities than we initially realized, and we may be a little behind the curve. So Mitch and I spent the morning brainstorming ways we can start using AI more effectively in our workflow.

Most homeowners never see this part of the process.

Pump jack scaffolding is a temporary platform system we use during siding projects to safely and efficiently work along an elevation of a home.

It allows our crew to work progressively up the elevation while maintaining safe, stable footing.

This project, in Lakeville, was a full siding replacement on one elevation, along with new windows.

We removed the existing vinyl siding, installed proper house wrap, correctly flashed the new windows, and then began reinstalling new trim and siding.

Siding is not just about what you see. It is about how it protects your home underneath.

This week we were working in Lakeville on a siding and window restoration.

We had been working back and forth with the insurance company to get this project approved after storm damage.

Thankfully, the claim was approved, allowing the home to be restored the right way. We got some Windows, Siding and the Roof covered.

If your home was recently hit by hail or wind, it may be worth having it professionally inspected before small issues turn into bigger problems.

Iowa State we are Back!

Got to head back to campus with Rooftime and teach students how to roof doghouses. Honestly one of the coolest days I've had in a while. These students were awesome and picked it up way faster than I expected.

All the doghouses are getting donated to charity too which makes it even better. Real skills, real impact.
