This bathroom remodel wasn’t exactly planned.

A toilet flooded in this kids’ bathroom, which meant repairs were needed here and in the ceiling below. Insurance is covering part of the restoration, and while the bathroom was already being opened up, the homeowners decided it made sense to update the tub and tile at the same time.

Projects like this are a good reminder that remodeling doesn’t always start with a wish list. Sometimes something happens, and you have to figure out what needs to be repaired, what’s worth updating while you’re there, and how to make it all work with everyday family life still happening around it.

That’s what we’re working through with this family now. We’ll share more as their bathroom comes back together.

There’s a lot that happens at our shop before our crews ever get to a customer's house.

This is where materials can be delivered ahead of a project and where we keep many of the bigger or specialty tools our guys don't carry every day — things like tile saws, ladders, scaffolding, rotary hammers and table saws.

Before heading out, we can pull up project photos with the crew and talk through what they're likely to need. And if something comes up once work is underway, having the shop nearby means someone can grab a tool or deliver it to the job instead of stopping work to spend a bunch of time tracking something down.

It's not a part of remodeling that homeowners see very often, but it makes a difference. The more we can prepare here, the less time we spend running around once we're working in your home.

A roof replacement is about more than the shingles you see when the project is finished.

It starts with protecting the home and property, removing the existing materials, getting down to the roof deck and rebuilding the roofing system with care at every step.

This laundry room is starting to take shape.

There’s a lot that goes into making a smaller space work well — where the washer and dryer go, how much storage is needed, where a bench makes sense, and how everything fits together around the window.

We like to help our customers work through these kinds of decisions so that everyday spaces feel more useful once the project is done.

There’s still more to come in this room, but it’s fun to see the plan starting to come together.

Sometimes the biggest remodeling challenge is the one you can't see yet.

Once the existing tile came up on this project, we discovered cement board that had been both nailed and glued down underneath it. 😅

So we adjusted.

The team cleaned and prepared the surface, leveled the areas receiving LVT, and kept the project moving toward the new flooring.

At Honey-Doers, we believe good remodeling means being ready for the unexpected—and knowing how to solve it.

A first-floor remodel is starting to take shape.

Since we last shared this project, the kitchen and main living spaces have come a long way—from cabinetry and the new island to the details that are beginning to pull the whole floor together.

There’s still work ahead, but this is the stage where the plan really starts to feel like a home again.
