We’re putting the finishing touches on the guesthouse, and it’s almost ready.

Building on a slope is a whole different game.

42 feet of elevation, 150+ truckloads of limestone, 4 broken machines, and more challenges than we expected.

A good reminder from our Sky Residence project: always investigate before you buy.

When it came to the elevator, we received completely different information from two companies.
One said permits wouldn’t be an issue. Another shared a very different experience, one where an elevator failed inspection and caused serious losses for the client.

So we decided not to rush.
Because in construction, the purchase itself is only one part of the process.

But that’s only half the story.

We put just as much thought into the spaces outside as we do the interiors. Every detail is planned around how the home will actually be used 🙌🏻

A motorized pergola for those sunny Texas afternoons.
A pool + spa for cooling off.
A BBQ setup for dinners outside.
Plenty of lounge space for slow evenings with friends.

And then there’s the outdoor TV, shower, integrated lighting, expansive terraces, and professionally designed landscaping with automatic irrigation.

Another update from Sky Residence and a lot has happened since our last visit 🙌🏻

The pool concrete is poured, stucco work is moving forward, and one wall is already completely finished.
Inside, electricians are working through the house, while the plumbers have wrapped up their part.
The staircase is measured, and we’re ready to order the wood ✅
