We’ve made some serious progress on our 2-story addition in historic downtown Louisville. 🏗️

We’re officially dried in and working through rough-ins, which means the project is starting to transition from structure to interior.

People are often surprised by how quickly a structure can go up—but framing and getting the building dried in is typically one of the fastest parts of the entire project.

From here, it starts to feel a lot more like an interior remodel as we work through mechanicals, insulation, drywall, finishes, and all the details that bring the space together.

We recently transformed this outdated 6’x10’ front patio with a vinyl roof into a 250 sq. ft. fully covered front porch built to last.

The refresh included:
• A new asphalt shingle roof
• Expanded covered living space
• Clean, classic wrought iron railing
• A simple design that completely changed the look and function of the entry

What’s the point of damp proofing a foundation?

It’s one of those steps you’ll never see once the house is finished—but it plays a huge role in protecting it for years to come.

After the concrete foundation walls are poured, we apply a damp-proof coating before backfilling. This protective barrier helps slow moisture from penetrating the concrete, reducing the risk of:
✔️ Moisture intrusion
✔️ Musty basement odors
✔️ Mold and mildew growth
✔️ Long-term deterioration of the foundation

It’s a relatively simple step during construction that can save homeowners from costly moisture issues down the road.

This is one of those behind-the-scenes details that separates a quality build from one that’s just “good enough.”

Big things are happening on Main Street in Historic Downtown Louisville!

We’re officially underway on this massive basement dig-out and second-story addition, and it’s been exciting to watch this project take shape.

We’ve completed the excavation, relocated the sewer line, and our new concrete foundation is nearly finished. Next up... framing! 🔨

Projects like this take careful planning and coordination, especially in a historic part of town, but seeing the transformation begin is what makes it all worth it. Stay tuned as this 1896 home starts its next chapter.

When the opportunity opened up to transform this basement space, we were excited to get to work. The result is a beautiful new bathroom featuring a custom steam shower. This space will soon be home to a sauna, creating the ultimate retreat right at home.

Our team will be adding nearly 2,000 square feet as we transform this historic property into a more spacious, upgraded living space designed for modern living while preserving the character that makes these homes so special.

Building in historic Dowtown Louisville comes with an added layer of care and responsibility.
