What an incredible difference the new ceiling lighting made in the family room of this 1900s home in Circleville, Ohio!

Wow — it completely changed the feeling of the space 🤩

I was asked to freshen up these rooms, which had been painted years ago with flat builder-grade paint (you know the kind they use just to sell the house 😉).

Over time, the old color had become dull and stained from everyday family life. It was a neutral beige with gray undertones, and the space really needed a brighter, cleaner update.

The homeowners chose Sherwin-Williams Alabaster (SW 7008), a beautiful cool white that instantly lifted the room.

After they removed the old light fixtures, I made the necessary repairs and painted all the ceilings a crisp bright white — and what a difference that made!

Come along with me while I share the 6 day process of transforming this much needed bedroom project makeover!! This beautiful home in Pleasantville Ohio has plaster walls that have been covered in layers of wallpaper that no longer serves a purpose and was in need of repairs and change.
This bedroom had 4 layers and 2 rows of border to remove. Plaster walls were crumbling beneath the Wallpaper and I often joke that it’s probably the wallpaper holding the walls together. Lol
After repairing the ceiling from water damage and repairing the plastered walls came the fun part of sanding and priming. We’re not sure the last time the ceiling have been painted and you can see how beautiful the white ceilings are now I also painted all the trim white and we chose this beautiful Sherwin-Williams Wisteria as the color.
This bedroom is totally transformed into a beautiful bright and cheerful room!!
It’s always a pleasure to see the transformation and to be apart of it 🤗

A couple weeks ago my daughter, Lauren, helped me with my hair by making me a "hot" blonde lol
She didn't want my money so I helped her with making her work space "hot" !!
Now some people may call this bartering but I call this our L♡ve language!

And a special thanks to Zach for moving the heavy stuff out and carrying it to the basement 💪🏼

I have available days this week for some local work here in Circleville.
Since moving back most of my scheduled work has been 45 mins to an hour away lol so if you have been thinking about painting a room or two reach out to me.
