HELP WANTED - TREE CLIMBER / TRIMMER
*Chad's Chippers Tree Service - Lancaster, CA*

I'm busy. Need a real climber, not a landscaper who thinks he can climb. We can train in proper techniques and the latest safety practices.

*PAY:* $25-$45/hr + overtime. Paid weekly.

- Safe climber with spikes & rope / SRT
- Know how to rig and not drop stuff on a roof
- Have your own gear (harness, spikes — I got saws & truck)
- Driver's license + reliable. Show up on time. No drama.
- Not afraid of heights, heat, or hard work

*BONUS IF YOU HAVE:*
- CDL / bucket truck experience
- ISA cert
- Your own truck

*I OFFER:*
- Year-round work in AV — Lancaster, Palmdale, Quartz Hill,
- No weekend warriors — we work M-F, some Saturdays when it's busy

EL NIÑO IS COMING - IS YOUR BIG TREE READY?
Lancaster, Palmdale, Lake Los Angeles, Rosamond, Acton, Mojave

El Niño means soaked soil + 60mph wind gusts = big deciduous and evergreen trees can pose a risk.

TOP 5 THINGS TO DO NOW:

DEADWOOD OUT
That big dead limb over your house? Wet wood + wind = 10x heavier. El Niño will drop it for you. Get it out while it's dry and light.

THIN, DON'T TOP
For your pine, oak, or Modesto Ash — thin the canopy for wind to pass THROUGH, not push. Topping makes them MORE likely to fail. Proper thinning = storm-proofing.

CHECK THE LEAN & THE ROOTS
If soil around the base is lifting, mushrooms are popping up, or it suddenly leans after a rain — that's a red flag. Soaked clay in the AV loses grip fast.

CUT BACK FROM THE HOUSE & LINES
Branches rubbing your roof hold moisture and cause rot. Limbs in power lines + heavy rain = outage or fire. Give them 10 feet of clearance now.

STAKE YOUNG, CABLE OLD
Young evergreens need re-staking before wet wind. Big old trees with 2 leaders? They sometimes need a cable system before the storm splits them.

Big trees are great until they aren't. A 30-minute check now saves you a hassle later.

Everyone thinks that apple hanging over the fence is a free snack. Surprise — it's not.
In California, that fruit still belongs to your neighbor, even if it's hanging over YOUR yard. Pick it and technically, you're picking their property.

So no, you can't start a side hustle making lemonade from their lemon tree, even if it IS hanging over your wall.

You CAN trim the branch that it's hanging from, though. Just don't kill the tree doing it.

It's a shame the homeowners insurance company demanded these come down — they were nice trees. We're always happy to help and provide the service, but man... these insurance companies are getting out of control.
