⛈️ If you live around Tampa, you’ve probably noticed we’ve had quite a few storms rolling through lately.
All that lightning and those quick power fluctuations can be hard on your AC system. A surge can damage sensitive parts like the circuit board, controls, or compressor—and sometimes the damage doesn’t show up right away.
After a storm, pay attention if your AC:
⚡ Won’t turn on
⚡ Trips the breaker
⚡ Shows an error code
⚡ Runs but isn’t cooling normally
One thing homeowners can consider is a surge protector specifically for the HVAC system. It’s designed to help protect the equipment from damaging voltage spikes.
Hopefully we all get through the rest of storm season without any AC problems—but with the weather we’ve been having, it’s something worth keeping in mind.
Stay safe out there, Tampa! 🌩️
