City Hall Access During Lincoln Street Construction

We’re open and ready to assist you during the Lincoln Street construction project!

Parking & Access: Our parking lot is open and accessible via the alley entrance off North 2nd Street. Feel free to use it to visit City Hall or nearby businesses.

Payment Options: Both payment drop boxes remain available. One is by the tree, and the other is alongside our building. We check them daily. You can also bring your payment inside or opt to mail it in if you want to avoid the construction area.

Municipal Court: Municipal Court is open and processing payments at the window. If you have a scheduled court date, please utilize the alley entrance off of North 2nd Street to access City Hall.

Lander Police Department: The Lander Police Department remains fully operational and ready to assist you.

If you have any questions or need assistance, stop by City Hall—we’re here to help!

Please continue supporting your favorite local businesses during the construction. Be sure to follow all posted construction signs for both vehicles and pedestrians, and exercise caution while navigating the area.

Intersection of North 2nd Street and Lincoln Street to Close May 28–June 11

The intersection of North 2nd Street and Lincoln Street will be closed to all traffic from May 28 through June 11, 2025, as part of the ongoing Lincoln Street reconstruction project.

This project involves a complete replacement of water and sewer lines, pavement, curbs, gutters, and sidewalks along the entire length of Lincoln Street. Construction is on track to be completed before winter 2025.

Local Traffic Access:
North 2nd Street remains open for local traffic from Main Street to Lincoln Street and from Washakie Street to Lincoln Street.

Business Access:
Local businesses along Lincoln Street and North 2nd Street are open during construction. Please continue to support your favorite shops and services during this time.

Safety Reminders:
Follow all posted traffic and pedestrian signs in and around the construction zone.
Pedestrians should use caution and stay within designated safe areas.

Lincoln Street Construction Update
Closure Notice: 100 Block of North 1st Street

To accommodate construction on Lincoln Street, the 100 block of North 1st Street will be closed from noon on Thursday, May 15th, until noon on Friday, May 16th.

Truck traffic is prohibited on this block during the closure.

Local traffic may access the block, but after the alley, only St. John's Health patients may proceed past the barrier.

The road will be completely closed at the North 1st Street and Lincoln Street intersection.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during this brief 24-hour closure.

Beginning at noon, Thursday 5/15/25, 1st Street from Main Street to Lincoln Street will be closed. People who need to access St. Johns will have access passed the alley behind Gannett Grill. The public will still have access to limited parking on first and to the parking lot behind Gannett Grill. Be advised that semi traffic will need to proceed to 5th Street.

Ground has broke and progress made. Asphalt has been removed and sanitary sewer has been placed on the south side of Lincoln Street. Next week installation of warerline will begin.

We would like to remind people that 1st street from Main to Washakie is a One Way and that we have installed a temporary access to Wind River Thearpy and Elemental Fitness for those who need handicap access.

Please be alert and cautious while traveling down 1st street as we have trucks and equipment in and out of the site. We are keeping in regular contact with City of Lander-Wyoming on our progress as well as addressing public concern as we proceed.
