Happy Independence Day! Did you know that air conditioning was invented in the United States in 1902 for a publishing company? It wasn't until 1914 that the first residential air conditioner was installed. The unit was an enormous 20 feet long and 7 feet high and would cost $500,000 in today's money. We're thankful the size and cost have reduced greatly since then!
